This dress was on my wish list of new patterns from Simplicity’s new range (Leanne Marshall). If I could have bought the dress on the pattern cover I would have its so cute and I loved the green and pinky colour.
I made this dress from quilting material that happened to be on sale and was at bargain price. I never remember to look in the quilting section for material so that was lucky!
This dress feels like a real pretty twirl dress with a wide pleated and puffy skirt. I think if I made it in pink it would have been a girly overload. The top part of the dress has some really cute features like the front slit on the upper chest. The sleeves are fantastic I realised after taking the photos that you can fold them over to look shorter but hey, looks like you can wear them long as well!!
