My grand mother gave me this beautiful fabric and I chose a suiting pattern, and now it looks like an asian inspired dress.
I used a New look pattern (6000), the dress looks great but I didn’t like the instructions so I added some seams so it’s a little modified. Otherwise, it was a very easy dress to make but I did quite a lot sewing by hand.
I very pleased with the outcome, I think my grand mother will be proud!
cotton, pearls, invisible zipper, hooks and eyes.

I have this pattern too, but I was thinking that it would only work with a stiff suiting or a heavy knit, but your fabric choice gives it a whole new look. Very flattering on you too!

I am pretty sure your nan is proud of you, you did that fabric loads of justice. So inspired, and the colour goes nicely with your blonde hair. Cool!

Thank you! My mummu (grand mother in finnish) has been working as a seamstress and I have her to thank for my interest in sewing, so it means a lot to make her proud…
