I am so excited that I finally a little girl of my own to sew for. Ideas have been swarming in my head forever and now after almost 7 months I’ve finally gotten around to sewing my baby girl her first dress complete with matching booty cover. I am so happy with how it turned out. I can’t wait to make her some more dresses. I made them from a pair of pants I got at goodwill super cheap. When I first saw these pants my instant thought was bag or purse. I love polka dots but this fabric is just a little too loud in my opinion for pants. After I got pregnant I thought it would be great for a little dress. It looks like she’s wearing sprinkles. :) I’m planning on making a matching top for myself out of the leftover fabric.
No pattern was used for the dress. I put and elastic and button closure on the back of the dress. I used a great tutorial from MADE for the booty cover. Super Easy!!! Even though she is 6 1/2 mos, I made her the 0-3 mos size and it’s still quite big but she is on the small side.
