Lately I haven’t been sewing a lot, but after the 7th months of pregnancy it became difficult to dress old garments, so the need and hot summer days forced me to create a small linen collection. This dress made from Belarusian coarse-weave linen became at once one of my favorites. I especially like the colour, something between a cheerful carrot and a happy orange. The pattern is based on one of my favorite Burda dresses with the following modifications: sleeveless, with insertion of triangles in the side seams to accomodate a growing baby bump. A vintage Lancetti brooch, found at a flea market in Turin, matches perfectly the dress and special moments of my life. More pics on my blog
