Normaly the south of Germany wears these dresses. Here in the north nearly nobody does. But we were invited to an “Oktoberfest” in Hamburg and we have the order to come in “Wies’n” outfit. I don’t want to wear a dress were I feel to dress up. So I made a St. Pauli of Hamburg dirndl. The main colour of that area is brown together with a little red and white. So it is.
dress: cotton silk -
apron: taffeta, and a sewed skyline of Hamburg –
eyelets with Swarowski stones –
blouse – viscose jersey -
collar – crown cap of a beer of Hamburg called ASTRA
