Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I chose to make my own prom dress as a project in school. Since not even my mentor knew anything about sewing I have done this dress all by myself.
I took two patterns I wanted, matched them, did some changes in the patterns – and voilà!
I thought it was an easy dress to make, the hard part was working with the fabric and that it was time-consuming. Especially the hooks and eyes, which I sew by hand, they took more than 4 hours.
I would not recommend the fabric since it was difficult to work with. It got wrinkled easily and changed colours when ironing.
Material Notes
hooks and eyes, ribbon, interfacing, bra ribbon, fabric - I found it in the world's smallest sewing store in Riga, Latvia. Therefore, I do not know precisely what the fabric is made of.

What a beautiful couple you make! This takes me back to memories of my prom. I wore this same color! My mother and I made my dress…as a matter of fact we ALWAYS made all of my dresses for all the dances through high school. You look lovely! :-)
