I liked the childs party dress so I made the grey one adding the roses.
Then I used an awful 1980’s bridesmaid dress someone gave me for the dressing up box and used the same principle of the bodice, replacing the sleeves for what she calls her ‘Cinderella dress’
Then I found an old purple curtain and made the next dress for winter.
The last dress has a detachable tutu that can be worn under her ‘Cinderella dress’. She’s not my child that’s why it’s just the dresses.
Next time I will overlock the enlarged bodice and add embelishments before I sew it up. Purple dress took 3 hours as I was really tired and kept making mistakes!
I did change it and made it lower at the front and higher at the back.
I’ve sewn hearts and stars to the pink dress and made the matching ragdoll.
Anything seems to go! I have a stash and I like to recycle good material from old clothes etc.
