I made the shirt from New Look 6803 because I wanted to try the Threads beaded accents technique on the front of the pleats. I also loved the pockets! The pants are black stretch denim using Vogue 2812 Alice and Olivia jeans. This pair of pants was my first attempt at using a muslin to fit pants. I still don’t have a perfect fit around my hips and waist but it was a huge improvement over previous attempts to make pants! I will actually wear these!
I used leftover beads from a necklace project (wearing it) and $1/yd houndstooth poly-blend from Wal-mart for the shirt. I used 2 clearance fabric bundles from Jo-anns and an iron-on rose set and more left-over beads that cost about $5 total. So this outfit cost me less than $10 for a new work outfit that is comfy and movable so I can keep up with my energetic students and still keep a professional vibe.

I love this, especially the special touches to the shirt and trousers. It certainly does look very comfortable!
