This is the first coat I have ever made and although the pattern did not prove to be a tricky, when I got to the collar I think I cut out an extra bit and ended up messing it up. I was way too lazy to take everything apart and after working on it over a one month period I decided to just line the coat and use it as it is. Since then I did take the extra part out and this somewhat helped.
I made a belt from the remaining fabric too, but since there are no bet loops on the coat, it is not a practical solution, even if I did not want to put buttons on it as suggested by the pattern.
The coat is fully lined with a quilted wadding like lining fabric for warmth, but I do think that it makes it look and feel heavier than intended. It’s a great pattern, next time around I would probably make it one size smaller and from a thinner fabric.
