Description

I really like the simple design of the Tara and I’d done two trials previously… The fabric store had blue poplin for $2/m – bargain! So I bought a few metres thinking I’d make it into a dress but by the time I’d gotten home I decided I really needed another top… I really recommend using a decorative stitch for the hemming – it doesn’t matter so much if you make a mistake :) It’s not made very well (the length of the decorative stitch fluctuates quite dramatically throughout the piece) but it’ll do fine for a lazy day :)

Material Notes

dusty blue poplin

this tara is really really great, I messed mine up by attempting to redesign it, but here you show that the original is very splendid just the way it is lol.

thanks everyone :) i’m glad you like it… next time i’ll sew slowly and carefully and make sure the stitch is all the same length though! it certainly was a rush job – i was so excited to make it i really didn’t stop and think. and that particular decorative stitch is an absolute nightmare to unpick :)

Very pretty! I really like the embroidery you added. It dresses it up more. Great color too.

I think it’s gorgeous! I really like the design and the decorative stitch really adds up to the beauty of the piece. And not to forget the colour – it’s great!
