Hello everyone! This is a dress I just finished from a retro Butterick pattern (5556) which turned out wonderfully! I chose the mandarin collar option, and added sparkly buttons down the front and a double ruffle at each of the sleeve ends. The dress was sewn from a blue silk dupioni, and I am shown wearing it here with a crinoline that I made to help the skirt pouff out. The skirt has eight gores, two of them straight in the front and the remaining six are gathered around the back and sides for a very elegant 1950s look.
