This is a pinafore dress I made up for my daughter’s birthday – this is the first of several pieces of clothing I made for the occasion and it goes with the last thing I made, the pink blouse. I made this from an old Burda pattern picked up for $1 at a local op shop, no adjustments and instructions quite sensible to follow. I thought the dress was a bit plain – I had intended to do some last minute trimming with tulle and gathered blouse material but ran out of time – but it was a hit, and was worn to kindy on the big day. All the photos show the dress after at the end of a day’s wear – so a bit grubby and wrinkled!
