This fabulous costume consist of a 2-part unitard base, a red jacket and vinyl ‘boots’. I used a 2nd hand shirt for the front of the top section of the unitard and for the flounce on the front. This costume also has pull on gauntlets with lace around the bottom to act as sleeve poking out the bottom of the jacket but you can’t see them in any of the pictures. The wig, hat, hook and belt came form the local fancy dress. The sword was made by the student’s dad.
Red cotton drill, brocade, gold braid, brown 2 way stretch, white cotton lycra, 2nd hand lace shirt, lace, stretch vinyl, elastic, thread, buttons.
Simplicity pattern for the jacket, my own modification of a unitard pattern for base, fellow dance sewer for boots.
