Sydney Again., A...
I’ve just realised one very cool thing about having a dres makers doll. I can take photos of what I make! (very handy when you don’t have a partner to do it).
A lovely gentleman I know had a 90th birthday party. I wanted something very festive and was perhaps a little over dressed (pooey I say!) .
I just got this photo in the mail even though it’s very pixelated. It must have been printed from the computer.
Bodice is a silk velvet which is quite thin so I had to put very stiff interfacing and a layer of wadding to make it nice and flat. Lots of time went into removing any wrinkles.
Skirt is a beautiful silk organza I found a while ago with little red bows. I underlined it twice with silk lining and tulle to give it some umpff.
It’s very girly and perhaps a little too young for me now but I loved wearing it.
(I should have ironed it before taking photos.)
Sweet dresses, an outfit for a doll, and cute embellishments are fun for the holidays!
