Fortunately/Unfortunately for me, I am still making summer clothes because i live in the tropics and it’s warm all year round! Garance Dore predicted on her blog that its going to be super floral next spring. Woo Hoo! I am ahead! Or maybe it’s because floral never quite left. :) This is my second pair of shorts. It is an improvement from the previous in terms of the cut and the finishing, but it can be better. I will need to make adjustments to the pattern ( which I traced from a pair of store-bought shorts) if I decide to make some more shorts. Flare shorts are great for my heavy thighs. It gives the illusion of slimmer thighs. It has in-seam pockets on both sides and an invisible zip behind. Invisible zips are so much easier than snaps! By the way, I used a normal zipper foot for my invisible zip.
