Description
I finally completed this dress today, just in time to wear to a luncheon/fashion show/silent auction charity event in downtown Portland, Oregon. I used Vogue 8787, an Easy Options pattern, with variations on bodice and skirt designs all included with the instructions.
Pendelton woolen mills originate here in Oregon, and are quite beautiful and historic in textile design. I was lucky to nab some of this lovely wool glen plaid in a lightweight finely woven hand, perfect to create this little bias self-faced cowl neck bodice sheath dress.
I admit, the overall fit, plaid matching and inner construction could use some work and closer attention to detail. So could my body, tummy bulge, posture, photo angle, lighting and photographer (sorry Babe!). I now officially consider this a working sample and learning experience for future dresses, plus motivation to get more exercise and eat less junk food! I will, however, still wear it and meanwhile “learn” from it.
Material Notes
100% Pendelton Wool woven
100% silk habotai lining

Oh my gosh I am still laughing reading your blurbette. Your dress is spectacular.
One item about disposable clothing nowadays is not only the flash in the pants lines but poor fabrics. I love your fabric choice !!!! I didn’t know Pendleton made it’s fabric over in your area. Your so lucky to have that resource.
That dress is smoking hot on you and if you think you have a poochie paunch ! Forget it lady!!! Beautiful job on the dress and you are gorgeous!!!
