Description

Black jacket with peplum. Rock n’roll in the front and feminine in the back. This jacket features zippers in the sleeves – very handy.

Material Notes

Cotton with a crocodile pattern. The fabric looks like leather and everyone is surprised to feel it and discover that I’m not kidding about the cotton part. The lining is an orange silk.

Very rock&roll. Love it. Any idea what that fabric is called? I would love to make some rock&roll pants out of something similar.

I bought the fabric 2 years ago through a fabric coop in the USA. I tried to see if I could find a name or manufacturer through the coop but couldn’t find it. I was just in NYC and hunted the garment district for anything similar and couldn’t find anything like it. Sorry I couldn’t help more but I’ll keep trying to find a name or manufacturer and post if it find it. I’m glad you like the jacket. It has become my favorite due to the unique fabric and pattern.

Hmm, it seems to be called Cotton Leather, and it seems to be made from recycled cotton. Here are two links I have found:
      www.design-and-source.com/recycled-cotton-leather
      www.cottonleather.com
