I love that this shoot took place in Cape Town, where I live. Burdastyle often feels very far removed from our little piece of Africa – the magazines arrive 2 months after they are released, many of the stores mentioned don’t ship to South Africa etc. Imagine my surprise to read in the credits for this one (ages ago admittedly) that the pics were taken a 15 minute drive from my apartment! Nice to see a real presence in my city, even if it was just for a shoot!
