I love this blouse and downloaded the pattern. Not sure I understand the directions but from your photo…it looks as if the ties are connected to the neck edge but are free from the shoulder seams forward. Is there a button to hold the from neck edge together? You are so right—the directions make it seem more difficult.

The pattern is great, however I do hate the instructions. They won’t make sewing easier.
