Description
So this was the dress I made for my graduation prom two years ago (which was more like and intimite dinner with my dearest friends). Almost everything I created back then involved lots of ruffles, but this was the first dress I thought I’d put sleeves on, and since then it feels like all my dresses have sleeves.
I wanted to use a colour that really pops out and orange came to be the perfect choice (since it’s my favourite colour and everything…). I also made the lining in a contrasting turquoise, which you can only tell when it’s on a hanger, but I liked that unexpected detail. I used covered buttons for the low back and the cuffs, and the big bow is detachable.
I wore it with blue shoes, white gloves and the lace tights you see on the picture. This dress is so dear to me, and as a project it was wonderful to work with. It’s my own design and I also constructed the pattern myself, the pictures however were taken by one of my best friends: Josefin Hardinger. Thank you!
And oh, just a disclaimer regarding the choice of fabric: it’s not really… fit for dancing in, since sweat shows really well – and I mean REALLY well. Thinking about it, maybe it wasn’t the smartest idea to make sleeves to begin with, but what you gonna do when you have this magic vision of the perfect dress in your head!

I hope some day to be able to make something as beautiful as your dress! I also will say that your choice of colour is perfect for the dress shape.
