1960’s Shift Dress with purchased belt. The dress fit in the hips but came out too big in the waist. The pattern isn’t cut to be at all fitted. If I make it again, I’ll take in the waist by probably 2" or more.

Nice dress! I made a shift dress once for a wedding – it didn’t come out that great- I had a similar problem with the fitting so I wore a waist band. I guess the 60’s shape was more box like!!
