Stitch outside collar piece to neck edge of jacket and stitch inside collar piece to facing, beginning and ending stitching in front, exactly at seam line on narrow edge of collar. Press seam allowances open. Lay facing wrong sides together with jacket and lay collar pieces together. Pin collar joining seams together. Lay facing up again and stitch seam allow-ances together, close to collar joining seam. Baste facing to front edges and to hem edge, approx. 2 mm (a scant 1/8 in) from seam allowance. Baste collar pieces together along outer edges, next to seam allowances. Trim away seam allowances around the edges.
