If there’s one thing that makes me nervous about a pattern, its a photo where the garment isn’t super visible. What is the photographer trying to hide? Models with their arms over their chests or midsections, hair over shoulders, holding things, hiding behind doorways or trees or whatever suggest to me that the fit is weird or off or simply just not flattering or pretty… Those shots are fine if there are alternative shots of the item in question as a whole, but displaying only a single shot where you can’t see any of the sewing details or the shape of the item makes it suspect and therefore not worth my time in attempting to make it. Sad too, ’cuz this looks like it may have had potential.
Although, if anyone is interested, dress #102 seems to be basically the same thing with a different picture.. http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/5-2010-dress

ok,, i agree with the way the photo was taken,, but do you really think its a bad dress? have you tried making it? ok, maybee its not your style, but giving it such negative comment, is sad,, I tell you now It does not suit me,, but I still would not make such fuss. over a dress,
