I fell in love with a Norma Kamali swimsuit a few years ago and have tried my darnedest to recreate it using a vintage 80’s Kwik Sew pattern and A LOT of pattern alterations. I personally think this is the most flattering style of swimsuit imaginable (especially for us ladies with butter bellies and booties) – it tucks away all your tricky bits while still being super glamorous and sexy.
This version is basically a workable muslin – I went through a lot of trials to perfect the pattern and construction but learned SO much in the process. Anyone interested in my ramblings on swimsuit construction can take a gander over at my blog.
