I always dreamt of making one of these flattering, beautiful 50s dresses. Thanks to a friend who showed interest in the design, I made this particular one just to “see what it comes out like”.
I am pleased with the outcome. The intricate darts round the waistline and the 6 skirt segment, coupled with a high waist and a plunging V-neck, will flatter anyone who dares wear it.
The dress comes with its own petticoat made of 3 circles plus high waist circle, the bottom tier measuring no less than 3.6 meters in length.
The bow detail on the shoulders (just a variation) inspires elegance and draws the attention to beautiful shoulders.
