We had some this great red spandex fabric laying around in the office and thought it would make a great retro style swimsuit. We used the Satin panties and bustier pattern to create our swimsuit pattern and here it is!
Our instructions show how you can easily use this great pattern to create a bathing suit.

I enjoyed seeing this suit as I am on a mission to make one of the original costumes in the Burlesque movie with Christina Aguileria. The one that is black sparkling, pair of hands on boobs, pair of hands on butt. I think this would help with the base of the costume. What does everyone think? Need advice on the project, it this would work for the costume. Great look love the one piece as well as the bikini version. I actually make swimwear. Have a website: www.westcoastbikini.com Thank you for the inspiration. Susan

I love this variation. it’s a great example of how to use a pattern as a basis for new designs. It also shows how not having seam allowances can be very useful.
