I made this dress for my winter semi-formal. I used the JJ sloper for the top and then just made a gathered skirt. I am very happy with the way it turned out, it was perfect for the dance.

This is a great little black dress. I love the neckline both front & back. The straps size are just right size too. I normally don’t like the gathered skirt but you had the right amount of garthering and wore it so well that I am now converted. Love it.

Wow! i think it’s perfect, really cute and right for any occasion. I’m going to sew my first JJ, so it will be the right time to try the bodice and how it fits me… i still need advice on how to make the neckline (I really want to make a dress like yours) and the back.
