I made this dress for my winter semi-formal. I used the JJ sloper for the top and then just made a gathered skirt. I am very happy with the way it turned out, it was perfect for the dance.

This dress is lovely, especially the bodice. Exactly how did you go about modifying the JJ to create this bodice?

Now that is indeed the perfect little black dress. One of the best I’ve seen, and very wearable. Beautiful work.

This is a great dress: definitely my style. I will try it! Any tips for a novice trying to replicate it? I’m thinking taffeta… And I add to all the other compliments: great work!

This is a great little black dress. I love the neckline both front & back. The straps size are just right size too. I normally don’t like the gathered skirt but you had the right amount of garthering and wore it so well that I am now converted. Love it.

It really is beautiful, lately I’ve been too lazy to sign on and comment on creations, but I just had to for this one! The neckline is so elegant, I especially like how it’s deep in the back…I’m inspiried!

Wow! i think it’s perfect, really cute and right for any occasion. I’m going to sew my first JJ, so it will be the right time to try the bodice and how it fits me… i still need advice on how to make the neckline (I really want to make a dress like yours) and the back. Great job, i like your work! :)
