A challenge from the Sew Weekly group. (If you haven’t heard of The Sew Weekly, I highly recommend searching it out!)
A retro-inspired apron, with ties at the back and angled pockets. Made of quilting cotton.
And a black dress (cotton with embroidered flowers all over it) from a BurdaStyle pattern – my first time using a BurdaStyle pattern, in fact. :-)
Blogged about over here: http://macskakat.wordpress.com/2011/04/10/1950s-housewife/
Quilting (craft) cotton for the apron. Cotton, with black embroidered flowers, for the dress. The dress bodice is lined in taffeta.
