50s Halter from Vintage Sheet

1950s style halter dress made from a vintage fitted sheet. I used New Look pattern 6457 for the bodice and made a simple gathered skirt. I added a mint green tulle sash at the waist. I finally used the invisible zipper foot I bought almost a year ago. I’d been putting it off thinking that it would be too time-consuming to install an invisible zipper. I was wrong. It was so simple and quick. I’ll probably be using them from now on. At least for my non-reversible projects.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving winter (I’m pregnant).. Spring sewing just appeals to me and the stash of material I never got around to sewing last warm season!

I hear that. I have so many sweater knits and plaids that I still haven’t cut into. I actually prefer warmer weather though. I’m like a lizard. I start freezing when I’m in the shade. haha

Loving the colour combination of the sheet and and the sash. All of these lovely spring dresses coming out are making me wish I lived on the other side of the world!

I don’t know…I’ve heard Australia is very beautiful. I’d love to see it one day even if it’s in the middle of Winter!
