Description

My niece got married 2 summers ago, and a month before the wedding, let me know that she wanted me to make the bridesmaid dresses! Well, all but one, as the other girl’s mother would be making hers. So, I set off to work, and finished 5 dresses in 3 weeks because I had a market event to attend the week before the wedding. I ended up being a bridesmaid, too, but mine is a different style because we were expecting our second child and I wouldn’t have been able to wear a fitted dress. The dresses I made were from patterns, but I can’t for the life of me remember which ones. I made the 3 dresses on the left, the flower girl’s (my daughter) and the dress on the far right. Oh, before I forget to give credit where credit’s due, the brunette in the brown dress (another niece) came over and helped me cut out pieces like a madwoman.

Material Notes

polyester satin, some type of cottony sheer fabric that the store couldn’t identify (for overlay in my dress)
