I scored this fabric at the RnR market. I’m so lucky I got in before another lady was eyeing it off.
Fabric is 1940’s, beautiful crepe and in mint condition. Just incredible that these fabrics are still out there or being horded in many a garages.
I made this dress for Sew for Victory. Sewing blog ran by Rochelle (luckyLucille). Criteria, 1940’s..
I used McCall’s 3949.
Dress took me weeks to make; I stopped and started since the bodice just wasn’t right! I just kept coming back to the drawing board, so to speak… Just so glad it’s finally finished. Turned out really nice!
3 Mtrs 1940’s crepe
45cm Invisible zip
Interfacing for collar and bodice
