I used New Look 6598. It is a modern pattern but if you sew it in the right fabric I think it has a decidedly 40’s feel to it. I used a red fabric with black polka dots. You can read more about it as usual at my Blog

Lovely, Lucha. Are you using shoulder pads? That adds that extra 40s feel, even the thinner ones give that extra 40s s styling. My mother & mother-in-law both married in the late 40s, (one in the US & one in the UK), and both had wedding day suits in sky blue with scarlet blouses. The neckline is right on, too.

I didn’t use shoulder pads but that is a great idea! I’m Going to add some as soon as possible, thin ones though as I already have big shoulders. Thanks for the idea!
