Description

From BOW March 2009, pattern 116B. This pattern is for petite women, which I’m certainly not and I had to resize the bodice for someone with broader shoulders and a longer back. This was the first time I sewed an invisible zipper and I couldn’t make the back yoke seams match up.

Material Notes

Lightweight satin twill fabric by Australian designer Alannah Hill. Purchased 2 years ago from the Dangerfield Clearance Outlet in Fitzroy for $6/metre (I got the last 4 metres left on the bolt). Bemsilk underlining.

Oh yeah, this is my kinda dress, yummm yummm yummmmm! Love the fabric too. We do like a bargain don’t we ladies?

Wel done, not the easiest of patterns by the look of it (she says with a quavering voice having cut a very similar bodice last night, ready to be sewn together…)
