When I went to see the Murder City Devils, they had these amazing t-shirts. I decided to buy one in the biggest size they had so that I could take it apart and customize it….of course! All I did was trace a tank top that I liked and cut it out of the t-shirt. Then I added lingerie elastic for straps and a decorative trim. I like that kind of elastic because it has scalloped edges and adds a feminine touch.
Make sure that the design will be centered where you want it before you cut it out! I used a serger for the side seams and a zig-zag stitch to attach the elastic.
