Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This is a dress I designed and made in the summer: a take on 1930s styles and my love of Alice in Wonderland! I did a more in-depth post on my blog with a collage of the inspirations, pictures of the muslin process (as I drafted the pattern from scratch, it needed to be tested!), and the final dress:

(The last photo is of me in front of the Alice in Wonderland Teacups ride at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. :)
I think I’ll have to wear this when I go see Tim Burton’s Alice movie this year… lol!

I love this! The colour and the style of the dress are gorgeous! I’ve designed a dress that’s sort of old-fashioned as well – I’ll need to draft the pattern and sew it once I am completely done with the current project…. I hope it works out even close to as great as yours!

This dress looks wonderful and so summery! I like the sleeves the best. They have just the right amount of gathering and the white contrast make them stand up and say HELLO! What great talent you have!
