Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This is my second attempt on the Hope wrap dress by erdronen, this time in violet. Another fantastic color that goes well with my light skin tone. The dress is like the first one double layered (the knit was a little transparent) and therefore sewn without using the bias tape and nearly no visible stiches.
I made few small mistakes but you can´t see them and I won´t tell :)
The dress looks very feminine. It is sleevless again. You can wear it in two ways – over the shoulders or gathered on the shoulders.
I love the pattern. It´s very easy and fast to make. I might use it again – this time maybe for a wrap blouse (they have a nice green jersey too at the store :)

They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. I love both. I like your idea to use 2 layers of same fabric. How do you sew them together and made them less stitches. Did you cut two sets of fabric and sew them together ? I am a beginner ! The fabric is rayon or cotton?

The fabric is the same cotton knit in both cases, just another color. It´s very soft, a little like a light t-shirt. I hope it won´t pill soon but it looks ok.
As you say I cut two sets of fabric. By the red dress I cut only one set at first and sewed all parts together but the fabric was a see-through so I had to buy more of it. I made another one-layer-dress and sewed the two layers together. Just watch out with the sleeves if you do it like this.
The violet dress I sewed the two layers of the back together, then the front layers and sewed finaly all together in the way you´ll find in every burda magazine – turn the back inside out and put the front parts inside the back part and sew the shoulder seams together.. (can´t describe it well in english, sorry)
