This dress is based on Simplicity 1873, but I didn’t have enough fabric for the skirt from that pattern so the skirt is the gathered skirt from Burda 7739. It was my first time using the Simplicity pattern (it was meant to be a practice run) and so the fit round the bust isn’t as good as I’d like but it means I can make adjustments for my next attempt! The bodice is fully lined in a bright pink lining fabric and there’s an invisible zip in the centre back. The fabric is a purple crepe found for £2.40 in the remnants box at a local fabric store.
*The corsage is one I had lying around at home!
