This jacket, made from a textured navy lightweight denim, is made from 23 pattern pieces and is fully lined. It was probably the most challenging piece I made in high school, as it was a more advanced Vogue pattern. The fit, though, was totally worth all the extra pieces and top stitching! For once, my pattern was pre-trend, as the metal off-center zipper trend was not seen for a few years after I completed this. And there are sweet metal zippers going up the the back the of sleeve, from wrist to elbow.
(Jacket is pictured with my Grace Lace Beret and 1.5 Year Sweater)

I have this pattern and I’m looking forward to starting it! Yours looks fabulous. I like it in denim! Question: Would you say the pattern is true to the bust size? Or should I pay more attention to the waist measurement were it is most fitted?

Oh goodness, I made this pattern so long ago that I’m not sure I could give you a good answer. I do not remember resizing anything, even though I am a vogue 8 on top and 12 through the hips and usually have to swing things out. I do think I lengthened it though, probably about 2 inches through the waist, which is usually what I do for all Vogue patterns. I would say that the waist is more important, especially if your bust is small like mine. I would rather have a fitted waist and slightly roomy bust than not be able to zipper it up!

Thanks for that nugget of information… I think that helps. I don’t have a ton of experience with Vogue patterns, so it’s always scary deciding which size to cut out. I’m tall though (5’10") so I might follow your lead and lengthen it.
