I made this dress for the Kop Hill Climb event, it is an event which takes place since the 20s! and involves classic cars trying to climb a hill!
The organisers encourage the spectators to wear 20s clothes, so this is how I decided once and for all to comply!
I made this dress following a very old pattern for a 20s Tango dress and I made a few adjustments. The design of the dress is meant to draw attention to the dancer’s legs (see the tail and the front and back scarves. It is also meant to make ladies look taller! (Oh, I need that!)
I used crushed velvet in teal and loads of accessories, such as hand sewn sequinned band around the waist and on the head band. I also applied a vintage brooch to add more glamour. I have added teal lace alongside the hem. Voila!

Thank you. I had to make one, originals dating that decade would cost a fortune!
