This is my first completed outfit for fall 2011. The bow blouse is absolutely perfect, I wish I could make 3 more in various colors. I used a navy and black herringbone cotton weave with pinstripes of mustard and white.
The trousers are made in a wool suiting material with taupe and light gray pinstripes; the fabric also has a bit of stretch. They’re lined in a steel-gray bemberg, which makes them feel completely like butter. I want to line all of my pants now! I stitched these trousers up as part of an awesome sewalong hosted by A Fashionable Stitch.

Thanks so much! I originally had a solid mustard-yellow fabric picked out, but changed my mind at the last minute. I’m glad I did.

Thanks so much for your sweet comment!
This was such a perfect pattern, and came together quite easily (2 evenings of sewing). The only thing I would change on mine is the gathers that are on the neckline (underneath the bow). I should have made mine more-gathered, so when you get to this part, adjust the gathers while you have the top on to ensure the perfect fit.
But either way, it doesn’t matter a huge amount, since this part is underneath the bow anyhow.
Happy Stitching!
