1957 vintage vogue

North Hollywood,...

The under yoke is a combination of view A and B. View B at the bust to get the coverage, then gradient to view A at the shoulders. An invisible zipper was used. I am much better at sewing those and I think they look better. Kept the integrity of the dress by keeping the zipper in original position. A pocket was added.

Material Notes

wedding gown material, polyester thread, invisible zipper.

I tag-teamed with my daughter, the Bride, to make this dress. She is an amazing seamstress!

Her sister took these great photos!

What a wonderful pattern! So simply elegant and it shows the full advantage of the beautiful fabric. The upright seams form a very feminine figure.
