For this skirt with box pleats all around I used an original pattern from 1956, published in the magazine “Eva Moden”. The construction was a little bit more tricky than with currently patterns. Because I altered the position of the zipper the little pocket between the vertical and the horizontal skirtpiece isn’t at the place where it should be – I have to modify this next time. But even with this little mistake I like the skirt very much. The shape makes a great silhouette and with a crinoline it’s warm and cozy.
brown corduroy – thick enough for coulder weather
rosy corduroy for the inside of the waistband
