A 1950’s style dress for a 1950’s style party!
The fabric was $6 for 6m! I battled the price down because the roll had some marks which ran all the way through… some creative cutting fixed that though!
The pattern has sketches of Italian landmarks running aroung in grey between rows of flowers… I’m not a fan of pink usually but I couldn’t resist!
Pattern was self drafted… I wanted the belt to be a waist band but had some trouble with it and time was running out!

Really nice dress!! I also have to do some creative cutting with one fabric I bought that have some marks which ran all the way through. First I have to figure out what I’m going to sew with this fabric. I’m now looking for some inspiration, and your dress really likes me, but I haven’t enough fabric.
As I said, wonderful dress and cute photos.

Thanks for your comment! The skirt does take quite a lot of fabric, especially because of the hozizontal stripes… You know there’s a tulip skirt pattern that doesn’t take very much fabric on here… and it’s a free one! xx
