1950's Style Summer Dress

Description

I made this dress from a copy of the famous ‘Horrockses’ couture dresses from the 1950’s.

The fabric is a heavy white cotton sateen with an all over floral print.

The dress features some lovely finishes such as skirt pockets and a bow to the back of the bodice.

    Very, Very nice result|! I used the same pattern from V&A museum (posted on Burda as well) – I like that your fabric is more thick… I was too preocuipied with finiding fabric with stripes…

      Thank you! I love this pattern and think I will make another one soon. I think the striped fabric does look lovely though so I may try that next.
