I am currently costuming a Musical “Fun on 42nd Street”. For one of the numbers the scene is set inside a dressmakers studio including a staff of 14 seamstresses during the 1950’s. I designed this retro smock with a Peter Pan collar as a part of the key costuming. I selected a variety of fabrics and prints to suit each of the individual characters from polyester, cotton, velvet, chiffon, to gaberdine and everything in between. With a pattern consisting of about 8 pieces the design comes together quickly.
