Used a vintage pattern for a dress and modified the neckine and added sleeves. Lined the coat and added a removable quilted lining. added black trim to sleeves, front and collar. Am going to make some faux fur sleeve ends, collar and a muff to glam it up when needed.
100% red wool with poly red lining. Ablack quilted zippered removable liner.

I found the pattern at an antique shop in Nebraska. They have alot of stuff from the 40’s to the 60’s. I have also found several pieces from before 1900’s.

This was Christmas item for one of my customers. She is a balloon artist who dresses in 50’s dresses and wanted a winter coat to fit over all her crinolines she wears.
