Description

My sister saw the skirt I had previously made in this fabric and recommended I sew a 1950s big skirt dress for her in the same fabric. This is the product! I kind of did view A but just did the buttons simply, no fly. It was my first time sewing a collar, and I was amazed I could manage it just from my brain and the old directions alone!

That’s my sister in the first couple pictures, and me in the last one—you can see it fits her well but not me!

Susanne, I used about 3 yards of 45" fabric.

Thanks for the kind words, guys!

Wow, I just ordered the exact same fabric online, but with no clue yet of what to sew with it. This looks cool! How much fabric did you use for this dress?

Your sister was right, the fabric is great in this style. I love the pic with the belt.
