    I have an Americana Vogue pattern book from the 1970’s and it does look a bit like something from that time.

  Very nice!! It really works well on you. I have one tip for you though. I think I see the seam of the collar in the photo. When you iron the collar before attaching it (you can even try after you have done so, it’s just easier the other way) you can iron it so the seam actually rolls under one side of the collar (so you’re not actually iron it folded in half). Then you won’t see the seam! :)

    thanks for the tip cooi, the collar and the bottom of the skirt are really dodgy, i wont wear this dress because of them…i used the wrong weight interfacing for the collar as well as the bottom panel of the skirt was added after because the dress was too short for me…i’m a wuss like that!

  The pattern was just something I had kicking around at home…second-hand store find.

  the collar isn’t done with interfacing so it looks crappy.. so If you find this pattern and make it up then it’ll look way better! plus I had to take it in 1" up the sides and under the arms.
