1940's Pinafore

Description

Pinafore made from a vintage pattern. Originally designed as wrap around blouse and skirt, I combined them to make a dress. I also greatly reduced the sleeves – I don’t think I could pull off huge sleeves of that period!

Material Notes

I used a vintage glass button at the back neck closure and a turquoise velvet ribbon at the hem. The fabric is cotton leno.
