I made this versatile playsuit from a vintage 1947 pattern, Advance 4147, which I purchased on Etsy. It combines a midriff top, high-waisted shorts, and a buttoned skirt. I made the top reversible so it could match both the skirt and/or the shorts. Perfect for a summer frolic!
More pics on my blog, Male Pattern Boldness.
More info on how I made it here.
I used a tropical cotton print for the top and shorts and an old cotton sateen top sheet for the skirt (and top). The shorts have a standard side zipper, and the skirt closes with large vintage plastic buttons. Under the blouse, BIG shoulder pads — BIG!

Cathy looks amazing! I almost bought that pattern once, I want to kick myself for not getting it. I love that you made the top reversible, so clever!

Cathy has such confidence, and with legs like those it is easy to see why. She looks great in this playsuit. Bravo Peter.

Cathy has done it again – and without any navel to tempt any naval.
So, did her eyes steal any of the sailors from the sea???
